Youth Plunges Into Ganga From Khidirpur Bridge

Kolkata: In an unfortunate incident, a 28-year-old youth died after plunging into
the Ganga river from the Khidirpur bridge on Sunday morning.

The incident took place at 9 in the morning when Mohammad Firoz dived into the
river. The South Point police rushed to the area and immediately sent out divers to
the rescue.

The divers rescued Firoz and rushed him to the SSKM where he was declared brought
dead.

According to sources, he was a resident of Bihar and used to reside in Khidirpur’s
Kayla depot road. The police have started an investigation.

Reasons for the youth committing suicide is yet to be ascertained.
