Jammu: Senior BJP leader and former Union Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha led Concerned Citizens Group (CCG) team met National Conference (NC) Working President and former chief minister Omar Abdullah at his residence on today morning.
After meeting Omar, the Sinha-led delegation left for Kupwara to meet the civil society members in the frontier district.
The delegation comprises of Kapil Kak (retired Air Vice marshal), Bharat Bhushan (Editor Catch News) and Sushobha Barve head of Centre for Dialogue and Reconciliation would arrive tomorrow.
On arriving in Srinagar on Wednesday, Sinha said that the visit is part of their efforts to continue working for peace and dialogue in Jammu and Kashmir.
The group had met mainstream and Hurriyat leaders and civil society members during their visit to Kashmir in October last year amid unrest.
The group had last year visited the Valley amid over five-month long unrest following killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani in an encounter with forces on July 8, 2016.
