Washington: Chinese President Xi Jinping will be visiting United States this year. The visit will be his first visit to the U.S. after taking charge of the ruling communist party in 2012.
No dates have been finalized for the trip as both sides are discussing the details of the trip. U.S. National Security Advisor Susan Rice said that the invitations this year have also been extended to U.S. allies Japan and South Korea as well as to Indonesia.
U.S. and China’s relation which has often gone through ups and downs will be an interesting phenomenon to watch when both the leaders meet.
Xi last visited the United States in June 2013, a purposely informal affair that occurred in California and did not include a stop in Washington.
