Srinagar: Wreath laying ceremony of BSF Constable Sitaram Upadhyay, who lost his life in a ceasefire violation by Pakistan in RS Pura Sector earlier on Friday.
Two civilians have lost their lives in Arnia sector because of ceasefire violation by Pakistan. Total of 4 civilians & one BSF constable have lost their lives today in ceasefire violation in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Pakistan Rangers resorted to firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in the RS Pura in which a Border Security Force (BSF) soldier was killed.
“India asked security forces not to launch operations during Ramzan but my husband was killed in firing by Pakistan. What’ll happen by offering compensation? It’ll not bring back my husband,” says wife of BSF Jawan Sitaram Upadhyay, who lost his life in ceasefire violation by Pak in J&K’s RS Pura today.
Following the ceasefire violation, the schools within 3 kilometer radius of International Border (IB) have been declared closed by the administration.
In January earlier this year, residents of RS Pura Sector were forced to leave their homes in the wake of the cease-fire arrangement being repeatedly violated by Pakistan.
