Will consider the people’s situation at Suri: Venkaiya Naidu


Kolkata/New Delhi: It has not been a long time since the TMC has suspended the Suri MLA, Swapankanti Ghosh for a ‘sit-demonstration’ at Vidhan Sabha. Not getting any assistance or favourable response from the state government and the rulling party, regarding the drinking water issue in Suri, Swapan Kanti Ghosh has moved to Delhi to meet Minister Babul Supriyo and the Urban Development Minister of the Centre, Venkaiya Naidu, Swapankanti’s claim is to involve the CBI in this regard. Venkaiya Naidu has said that he would look into the matter and stand by the pitiful condition of the people of Suri. The CBI will look into the matter and curb out all the corruption involved in the matter so that the issue gets settled at Suri. He met the Ministers at around 3 pm on Tuesday at Delhi.

TMC MLA Swapan Kanti Ghosh staged a ‘sit demonstration’ at the Legislative Assembly. His point was after repeated requests to look into the matter of the drinking water issue at Suri, the local government did not pay heed to the matter. Indirectly his finger was pointed towards the TMC leadership of the area. Swapankanti said that he had brought the issue ubder the notice of urban development minister Firhad Hakim and the CM too. But almost no action was taken in the regard. As a result of which MLA Swapan Kanti Ghosg indulged himself into a ‘Sit demonstration’ at the Legislative Assembly on Tuesday.
