Dhaka: Wife of the Bangladeshi blogger who was killed on Friday has lodged a complaint against the assailants on Saturday. The victim Niloy Chatterjee, who was killed on Friday by five unidentified assailants suspected to be militants. They entered his apartment in Gorhan area and killed him with machetes where he lived with his family since the last two years.
He was fourth Bangladeshi blogger to be killed in Bangladesh this year. According to police, his wife Asha Moni lodged a complaint at Kailgaon Police Station. Police said that his murder was pre-planned.
Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent’s (AQIS) Bangladesh branch has claimed responsibility for the attack. Several international organizations have condemned the attack on the blogger.
Three other bloggers named Avijit Roy, Oyasiqur Rahman Babu, Ananta Bijoy Das were also killed in a similar manner.
