Wife Claims Shami Attempted Suicide In Past

Kolkata: Indian cricket Mohammed Shami has found himself surrounded by a major controversy – his wife Hasin Jahan has claimed that the cricketer and his family have abused her physically as well as mentally and she is keen to drag them to court for the same.

The serious allegation forced the BCCI to exclude Shami’s name from the central contracts that the Indian board released a few days ago. Adding to an extensive list of allegations, Hasin now claims that Shami had even attempted suicide before she had met him.

Since his return from the arduous tour of South Africa, Shami has been mired in controversies. The pace bowler was busy with Duleep Trophy duties when his wife went public with several WhatsApp and Facebook chats, alleging that the cricketer has cheated on her with several women. While Shami has refuted all such claims, denying any involvement in any these, the latest one from his wife, however, has left everyone shell-shocked.

“Much before the two of us even knew each other, Shami was in a relationship with his phuphi ki nanad ki beti ( paternal aunt’s sister-in-law’s daughter) for five years. He even attempted to commit suicide because he wanted to marry her. But his family got in the way and the marriage didn’t happen,” alleged Shami’s wife Hasin.
