We need to win 5 matches more to claim the I League: Sanjoy

Kolkata: It is just a matter of five matches more, feels the Mohun Bagan head coach Sanjoy Sen. According to Sen, Mohun Bagan is on the run of becoming he champions in the 2014-15 I League. The team is also playing well. Hence, they are the foremost contenders of winning the I League, says Sanjoy Sen.

Mohun Bagan is on a 12 match unbeaten trot. The head coach of the team feels that MB has to win 5 more matches to sit pretty as the table toppers or the champions. There were certain questions raised in the Bharat FC match for playing Anwar Ali instead of Kingshuk. Sen defends his point in the issue by saying that, Kingshuk has already seen 3 yellow cards. Keeping in mind the next match against Royal Wahingdoh, Sen did not risk Kingshuk. He says that MB has to play 6 away matches and 2 home matches in the league. If they manage to win 5 out of the eight matches, the title will be their’s.

Talking of Pierre Boya, Sanjoy said that he is acting as the real marquee player of the team. That is the main reason why he was given the captain’s arm band in the match against Bharat FC. However, when Kingshuk or Shilton returns to the side, the captaincy will be given back to them, added Sanjoy.
