Kolkata: This year, till Mahasthami evening, West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company has provided 23,699 temporary Puja connections throughout the state, meeting a demand of 325 MVA extra load.
The company has accumulated an amount of Rs. 9.21 crore on account of security deposit. On Monday, Sasthi evening, the demand in WBSEDCL area was 5700 MW, including the additional load.
To ensure better customer service, 1388 LT mobile vans have been deployed round the clock to tackle any power disruption across the state. Similarly for HT maintenance, 655 mobile van have been deployed for emergency purpose.
