Kolkata: The West Bengal Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is likely to be withdrawn based on reports revealed on Saturday.
From now on, the selection will be held under the Public Service Commission (PSC) of West Bengal exempting the SSC if reports are believed to be true. The West Bengal Staff Selection Commission was set up in 2012. To improve the whole process the state government decided to merge the selection of state employees with PSC.
But the government has not yet formed any selection commission to conduct the whole process. As per the sources from Nabanna, the state secretariat, during their Cabinet Meeting on the upcoming Monday they will make a clear decision on the selection of state employees.
Earlier many questions had arisen about the selections under the state government, for the better utilisation of manpower. Now it has been decided that the process will be merged with PSC.
