Kolkata: Congress members staged a protest outside the Election Commission’s Office in Kolkata.
The agitation was staged after multiple incidents of violence was reported from various districts across the state on Monday. At least seven people have been killed so far.
Clashes erupted between the Trinamool Congress and the Indian National Congress workers in Murshidabad district. Earlier today, ballot papers were also thrown in a pond in the same district.
In an appalling incident, BJP candidate, Tapan Mandal, was allegedly killed inside a polling booth in Murshidabad after a crude bomb was hurled at the polling station.
