Kolkata: Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi and the state election commissioner Amarendra Kumar Singh will held a meeting on Wednesday in view of the attacks on opposition political party workers in different parts of Bengal ahead of the Panchayat polls.
Sources in the Raj Bhavan also said that the governor has given an appointment to State Election Commissioner AK Singh on Wednesday.
The governor’s decision to call for a meeting came after parties filed complaint about the “prevailing situation” in the state. Many Parties workers has engaged with scuffle after the declaration of the Panchayet poll date. So, according to political think tanks, this meeting will be very important to bring situation under control.
