Kolkata: WB CM Mamata Banerjee addressed the media post Narada Verdict. She was outlaying the committee formation on hospital security.
She initially dodged questions on Narada scam calling it a ‘simple case’. Her party started the probe but Calcutta High court restrained it within 24 hours. Calling it an unfortunate incident, she alleged that Kolkata police was barred from intervening. Nevertheless, she abides by the jurisdiction.
The sting was published from BJP party office during the Assembly elections. How can a political party direct the timing of verdict, she asked. If needed, we will appeal to the Supreme court. Cases of money laundering was prevalent during the UP elections which went highly unnoticed, she added.
“High Court cannot mishandle its powers. But the law will take its own course,” she added.
Impossible for BJP to take reins in West Bengal. If we are targeted, we will target the country, said Mamata on BJP’s prying eyes on Bengal.
