WB Budget session commences from Thursday


Kolkata: The Budget session will take off from Thursday. The State Budget Session will mark through the Governor Kesharinath Tripathi’s speech during the afternoon hours of Thursday. The Governor is scheduled to reach the Assembly around 1 pm.

However, the Trinamool Congress has done their homework and is looking forward to the session. Biman Banerjee, the speaker of the Vidhan Sabha held a joint session with the MLA(s). The session was presided over by Partha Chatterjee, finance minister Amit Mitra. Md. Sohrab was present on behalf on the Congress. The opposition leader, Suryakanta Mishra was also present at the occasion. The State budget will be presented on February 27.
