Water Flow To Get Normalised Soon In South Kolkata

Kolkata: A possibility of normal water service beefing up after the thorough effort of Kolkata Municipal Corporation. Garden reach water pumping station phase one part may back to the service from Tuesday. Mayor Sovan Chatterjee informed on Monday, a substitute in phase one will be provided.

The Garden Reach Pumping Station used to supply approx 18 gallon of water per day. A major part of South Kolkata have been suffering from water crisis from last Saturday. Behala, Maheshtala and other crowded places of Kolkata witnessing such things in summer. Water level has gone to 20 ft from the normal layer. KMC took immediate action to fight the crisis.

KMC promised that water crisis will be reduced in next three days. Common people may have to suffer the water crisis for more three days.

Behala, Haridevpur, Tollygunje area faced unavailability of water. Residents faced crisis. But still there is no sigh of relief.
