Munich: It will not certainly be his claim to fame, but Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola have had his moment of wardrobe malfunction. During Bayern’s 6-1 thrashing of Porto in the return leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final, the Spaniard was seen patrolling the touchline with a ripped trouser at Allianz Arena.
The former Barcelona boss did try cover up the torn garment by sticking his hand in there, but his attempts only worsen the condition, which left flesh exposed to a world-wide audience. Despite the faux pass, he managed to overturn a 1-3 deficit to beat the Portuguese side and book a semi-final spot.
After the match, 44-year-old was quoted as saying, “Ah, they broke. It’s not so bad, I’ll just put on a new pair for the next game.” But one of his players, Thomas Muller blamed Italian tailors for it. Germany’s World Cup winning striker said, “Italian tailors make trousers really tight, that’s probably why they broke.”
