Voting was peaceful: Mamata Banerjee


Kolkata: After the SI getting hit by a bullet at Girish Park, the city seeing bullets and bombs, the CM of the state and the TMC supremo claims that the KMC polls were a very peaceful affair. She had even given a clean-chit to the police for taking up their responsibility and performing it well.

According to Mamata, those who have lodged a complaint could not come up with proper witness. She said that at the time of polling there were no disturbances. The collision and the unwanted incidents like Girish Park had occurred after the polling was over. The police had reached the spot immediately after getting the information. She even pointed her finger at a news daily stating that the media house has undoubtedly targeted the ruling party. Mamata has claimed that the 91 wards which will go under polling on Saturday will also see a non-violent voting.
