Voters beaten up at Kandi, EVM disruption at Suri


Kandi: Tremendous pandemonium at the time of voting occured at Kandi. It is heard that at Kandi’s ward number 1, the voters were debarred from voting. People were not allowed to enter the polling booth. Goons occupied the area and carried on proxy voting for quite some time. The voters were even beaten up by quite a few muscle men of the area. The people are terrified at the spot. According to some of the locals, some of the voters were even beaten up by the goons of the area.

On the other hand, at Suri, at ward number 18, the process of vote taking was stopped for almost half an hour due to the disruption of the EVM. Atlast, the EVM was changed and the vote taking process restarted.
