Vodafone launches five new global design stores in Kolkata


Kolkata: Following a ‘Customer First’ approach, Vodafone on Wednesday launched 5 Global Design Stores at Baghajatin, Barrackpore, Lilua, B T Road and VIP Road in Kolkata. Pursuing an aggressive retail growth strategy in Kolkata, Vodafone has already launched 8 Vodafone Stores and 12 Vodafone Mini Stores in the last 12 months. With over 165 stores, Vodafone has consolidated its position as the largest exclusive retail footprint in Kolkata.

Whether it is Manchester in UK or Kolkata, Vodafone Global Design Stores offer a uniform customer experience. Additionally, Vodafone has over the years expanded its network reach to cover 100% population of Kolkata and will continue to take requisite steps to further enhance its distribution and reach. Serving the needs of close to 5 million happy customers in Kolkata, Vodafone has been focusing on closer engagement and enhancing customer experience in an endeavor to be future ready.

Vodafone Global Design Stores

Vodafone’s Global Design Stores, will offer an array of services through special designated zones such as 3G Zone to discover and experience mobile internet, Vodafone Red Zone; a first of its kind all-in one post-paid service, m-pesa Zone; a unique mobile money transfer service, Self Service Kiosk; a 24×7 facility for bill payment and recharge service, Vodafone Red Box; to enable customers to transfer content from an existing handset to a new age smart phone for free.

Continuing its retail expansion strategy across India, Vodafone has launched more than 160 Vodafone Stores and over 1000 Vodafone mini stores across India in FY14-15. Today, with over 9800 stores, Vodafone has the largest exclusive retail footprint in telecom in the country.
