New York: The eminent US band Eagles of Death Metal has put its shows on hold after Paris attack on November 18 while they delivered their first statement since Friday’s massacre as “horrified” and “still trying to come to terms with what happened.”
As three suspected Islamic extremists opened fire and killed 89 people while the band performed at the Bataclan concert hall. The band confirms about the postponement of the show until further notice.
“Although bonded in grief with the victims, the fans, the families, the citizens of Paris, and all those affected by terrorism, we are proud to stand together, with our new family, now united by a common goal of love and compassion,” the band said in a statement.
The concert scene experienced the deadliest bloodshed in a series of simultaneous attacks around Paris which took a total of 129 people dead and more than 350 injured.
