Visva-Bharati To Contribute In Relief Fund For Flood Affected In Kerala

Santiniketan: Visva-Bharati has decided to stand alongside the flood affected in Kerala. Vice-Chancellor Sabujkali Sen invited a press-conference on Sunday where she said that one day salary of each permanent employee, professors, clerical officials will be transferred to Kerala Government Relief Fund. She also clarified that the amount will be approximately 30 lakh.

This is not the first time that they are involving them with a relief works as they are active globally in this regard. As the premier of the institution of the institution, Vice chancellor took the responsibility to inform decision on this.

A meeting took place in this regard just before announcing the decision on Sunday. Students are active in collecting money from to process the work as early as possible. Apart from the department students, they are collecting money carrying placard, Banner and donation box in their hands.

According to the student version, it will take seven days to collect the money and will be transferred to the higher authority and then to Kerala. Students are worried of the ongoing flood situation in Kerala. They want to contribute in such crisis.
