Mumbai: Bollywood actor Vidya Balan had a narrow escape when a car rammed into her vehicle in Bandra, Mumbai. While Vidya is safe, her car was badly damaged.
Vidya is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming film, Tumhari Sulu. She plays a radio jockey in the film directed by Suresh Triveni. Earlier, she played an RJ in Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006.)
A source was quoted as saying, “Vidya Balan’s car met with an accident 3 days ago. However, she is fine and has not sustained any injuries. It was a minor accident that led to slight car damage and thankfully no one is injured.”
However, Vidya is a busy lady as she has recently been appointed as a member of CBFC and she also has the release of her movie, Tumhari Sulu coming closer. Vidya who has always been vocal about the issue of censorship of movies, earlier, talked about her accepting the proposal of being a member of CBFC. She said, “I thought if I don’t say yes to this, I’d lose the right to criticise any decision ever taken by the CBFC. I thought I was ready to shoulder the responsibility.”
