Vidhan Sabha elections won’t be preponed: Mamata

Kolkata: Standing at the State Legislative Assembly, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has cleared the stand of the ruling party on the issue of holding the Vidhan Sabha elections. She said at the Legislative Assembly on Friday that the elections will not be preponed. It will be held on the actual date, claimed Mamata. By saying this, the CM had even washed away all speculation of changing he date of holding the Vidhan Sabha Election.

On the other hand, Mamata had even said that Satoor is unnecessarily getting footage. Some people are cashing in he incident for nothing, said the CM. The CM had ordered CID probe into he Pingla blast earlier. On May 7, an illegal firecracker factory exploded at Pingla in West Midnapore claiming 12 lives. She had even said that some of the media are trying to colour the incident, which is not absolutely true. The CID had tracked down the goons in the Ranaghat Rape Case. Citing the incident she reinstated her faith in the state detectives. Pouring frigid water on the speculations, Mamata claimed that the incidents that rocked Khagragarh and Pingla have nothing to do with TMC or the section of the party. She had herself seen the footages of the incident of the gunman in the area and have resolved to this view. Mamata also brought in the issue of Jangalmahal and its development in the recent past.
