New Delhi: The Vice President of India, M. Hamid Ansari visited the K.R. Cama Oriental Institute in Mumbai, Maharashtra today. He showed keen interest in the very old manuscripts and books preserved there and also witnessed the art of preservation of old manuscripts. The Vice President interacted with the intellectuals as well as the research scholars present there.
Addressing on the occasion, the Vice President said that he is very fond of good books and always look for good books. He expressed his concern that it is very sad that the preservation of very old manuscripts and books are not being paid due attention. He opined that India is a House of such precious treasure of manuscripts, books, ideas and traditions and people from foreign countries are always inclined towards them. We are moving very fast in Technology but we are neglecting our traditions, he added.
