Kolkata: The science fiction writer and prominent translator Adrish Bardhan passes away on Monday night. He had been suffering from disease. At the time of his death, he was 87 years old.
He was associated with Purchase manager at first. Then he took the path of writing. He Started writing with the story of detective. His intruder Indranath Rudra and girl Detective Narayani got huge popularity.
He contributed in the field of Science fiction, supernatural world, supernatural, translation. He has edited India’s first science fiction magazine ‘Ascharya’. He Got multiple awards for his works.
He was admitted to to Nilratan Government Medical College Hospital. He was admitted to the hospital on Sunday due to prolonged illnesses. Due to MP Abhishek Bandyopadhyay’s intervention, he was transferred from General Bed to ICCU on Thursday. The family of the writer also expressed gratitude to Abhishek Bandyopadhyay and NRS authorities for medical assistance. But he breathed his last breath on Monday.
