Hyderabad: Entertainment Industry lost Producer Daggubati Ramanaidu on wednesday, who passed away after battling cancer. He died at the age of 78 on February 19.
Dr.Ramanaidu, who was an Icon of Telugu film Industry, holds the Guinness World Record for producing the highest number of Films-over 150 in several languages. Later in life, he turned to politics, and represented himself as Telugu Desam MP from Bapatla in Guntur between the year 1999 and 2004. He even received the Padma Bhushan and Dadasaheb Phalke awards.
The veteran film producer, who was suffering from prostate cancer and grasped his last breath at, Hydrabad. His movies were critically acclaimed and highly appreciated for ‘Gopala Gopala’ and ‘Drushyam’.
