Veteran Journalist dies at 90


Mumbai: Veteran Marathi Journalist, Vasant Pradhan passed away on Sunday. He was 90 at the time of his death and was suffering from old age related problems. He took his last breath at his home in Khar. The funeral is scheduled for Tuesday.

Born in the year of 1924, June 16 he vested his life into Indian Freedom Struggle. At a very early age Pradhan was sent to jail when he participated in the Ouit India Movement. Years later, under the guidance of Late G.M.Chitnis he started his career in media.

Pradhan was with active Indian Express Newspaper for 15 years before he retired. Pradhan is also known for its writing skills. He has written a number of books on labour laws.
