Veteran Actor Chinmoy Roy Stable, Likely To Undergo Surgery

Kolkata: Health Condition of veteran actor Chinmoy Roy is stable now, confirms his doctors, on Saturday he was seriously injured after falling off the terrace of his Golf Green residence.

According to the sources, doctors have not ruled out vertebral injury for which Roy will undergo MRI and other investigations. “His condition is stable so far. The actor suffered multiple fractures in the upper limbs and femur due to the fall from the terrace of the four-storey building. Doctors, however, are monitoring him closely, given the nature of injuries and and his age.

“His condition is stable so far. He is conscious, alert and does not require ventilation support. Doctors will operate upon his fractures if he remains stable for the next couple of days,” said R Venkatesh, zonal director (east) of Narayana Health.

The septuagenarian was rushed to Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences on Saturday night from his Golf Green residence. The actor suffered multiple fractures in the upper limbs and femur due to the fall from the terrace of the four-storey building. He also sustained injuries on his head. Doctors have not ruled out vertebral injury for which Roy will undergo MRI and other investigations.
