Uttara Singh Hajra Re-Elected As Dist Magistrate Of W Midnapore

Midnapore: Uttara Singh Hajra has been re-elected as the President of West Midnapore District Council. And Ajit Maiti was elected as the Vice President, earlier, also Uttara had taken over the responsibilities of the district head office.

Except Uttara Singh Hajra there was no one else for the post. The announcement was made by the state minister Soumen Mahapatra. The meeting was attended by the Trinamool members at the planning hall of the district council. Uttara Singh Hazra was elected as the president of West Midnapore District Council among the 51 memebers of the parishad Uttara got 50 votes.

District president P. Mohan Gandhi, district superintendent of police Alok Rajoria, district chief health officer Girish Chandra Bera, district information and culture official Ananya Majumdar attended the swearing-in ceremony on this day.

Uttara Singh, who was re-elected as the president of West Midnapore, said, “Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has again given me the responsibility of the district. And I will try to fulfill the responsibility properly.”“Our new members’ slogan is with the people, beside the people,” said the vice president of the district council Ajit Maiti.
