Update: At least two people were killed in a shooting at the University of California, Los Angeles (ULCA) as the campus remained on lockdown.
Washington: Police in Los Angeles are investigating reports of a live shooter at the UCLA campus. The university announced on Twitter just after 10am that there had been a campus-wide lockdown, saying there was a “possible shooter” at Boelter Hall, part of the university’s school of engineering.
Police were reportedly at the scene in the city’s Westwood neighbourhood and people were asked to shelter in place. Local news station KTLA reported that a SWAT team was seen on campus, as well as several ambulances and fire trucks.
