US Election: Bengali In NY Voting Ballot

Washington: India and the United States have been ‘natural allies’ and the ties between the two nations have further strengthened over time thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Barack Obama.

The duo has set an exemplary example of friendship, which of course has been of great help to India. And the latest example of Indo-US friend was seen during the voting process in New York.

In what comes as a pleasant surprise, the ballot of New York had Bengali as one of its languages.

The Chief Digital Officer of the New York City, Sree Sreenivasan, tweeted images, showing the New York City ballot written in Bengali among other languages. So, if you aren’t familiar with English, Spanish, Japanese or Mandarin, don’t worry, Bengali is there for your rescue.

Meanwhile, for US President George W. Bush and his wife Laura Bush have voted for the democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
