Chandigarh: Upset at being scolded, a class 12 student at a private school in Haryana’s Yamunanagar shot dead the principal of his school on Saturday, police officials said.
Ritu Chabra, the principal of Vivekananda School in Yamunagar was shot dead by the student, officials said. The accused, who is a commerce student, reportedly attacked the principal with his father’s licensed revolver.

As per reports, the support staff at the school, including a peon, overpowered the student as soon as he shot the principal. Chabra was reportedly hit by three bullets and later succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.
Reports suggested that the boy had the tendencies to pick fights at school and had been reprimanded about it in the past.
The boy apparently came to the school at around noon on Saturday, carrying a weapon and said that he wanted to meet the principal. Shortly after that, he entered Chabra’s office and opened fire.
