Umar Shooting: Protest Outside BJP Headquarters At 4 PM

Kolkata: A huge force of the Kolkata Police has been deployed outside the BJP headquarters on Tuesday as a gathering is expected at 4 pm in order to protest against the attack on JNU student Umar Khalid.

An attempt was made to shoot Umar Khalid outside Delhi’s Constitution Club of India on Monday. He had a narrow escape as the target was missed. Khalid lost control and fell to the ground. The Delhi Police secured the entire area and Khalid was rushed to the hospital.

All left parties including CPM criticised it harshly. Modi government has been criticised too. However, the BJP workers could not reveal who will take part on Tuesday’s gathering. But depending on some statements by the Kolkata Police, several section of people from Universities to the Naxalites will take part.
