‘Uma’ Fame, Actor Jisshu Sengupta Hospitalised With Stomach Pain


Kolkata: Jisshu Sengupta has been hospitalised with severe stomach pain. The popular actor was down with stomach problem since Sunday. Later he was rushed to a private city hospital after the condition deteriorated. A medical team was instantly formed for his treatment.

According to sources, Jisshu was feeling unwell since Sunday morning, and his condition deteriorated around afternoon. He was rushed to a private hospital in south Kolkata later in the day. A medical team has been formed to look after the actor, sources added.Doctors are suspecting there might be a gastric problem or even a gallbladder problem. The exact reason for the stomach pain can be diagnosed only after few more tests are carried out. As per latest development, the situation has improved a little. We wish Jisshu a speedy recovery.

Jisshu is one of the most popular actors in the Bengali film industry and his latest film Uma is drawing houseful crowds to the theatres.

The actor has been receiving rave reviews for his performance in Srijit Mukherji’s ‘Uma’. In this emotional drama, he plays the father of the titular character which has been played by his own daughter Sara Sengupta. The film has won many a million hearts since its release on June 1. He has several other projects in hand both from Tollywood and Bollywood. Jisshu’s next film ‘Sonar Pahar’ will release on July 6.

Jisshu, according to reports last received, is stable now.The actor is working on several projects in both Kolkata and Mumbai and has a number of films up for release in the coming months.
