New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti has been admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences AIIMS after she complained of chest pain. She was admitted at the AIIMS Cardiac department with an acute chest pain.
According to reports, at around 4 PM today, the 53-year-old leader was in New Delhi, in a meeting when she reported about chest pain. Uma and her office staff called the ambulance after which she was rushed to AIIMS. Medical investigation is underway and the Dean of AIIMS has also been alerted about the situation.
Meanwhile the doctors at AIIMs had not yet revealed any news related to Bharti’s condition. One of her party workers said that this is the first time Bharti had faced issues related to cardiac.
Her party workers suggest that, though Bharti is a workaholic woman but she is very much concerned about her health. Bharti regularly follows diet chart given to her by her doctor and also practices yoga every morning at her residence.
On Wednesday Bharti joined thousands of Yoga enthusiasts at Rajpath to observe International Yoga Day. She performed breathing exercises, seating on a chair. Bharti was handed over the portfolio of Water Resources Ministry by Narendra Modi government in 2014.
