Two ULFA Militants Arrested, Arms Recovered


Guwahati: In a major crackdown on terror outfits in the northeastern state of Assam, the Indian army on Thursday arrested two ULFA (S) cadres from Assam’s Chirang district and seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition.

On Tuesday night, militants belonging to the anti-talk faction of the ULFA shot dead Nandalal Shah (65) and his daughter Kajal (21) at their residence in Bijuliban village in Pengeri in Tinsukia district and injured three other members of the family including Shah`s wife and son.
