Fierce Encounter Rages In J&K


Jammu: One terrorist was killed and three security personnel were injured after a group of militants on Monday attacked a CRPF camp on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Kud area of Udhampur district.

Fierce gunbattle is raging in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur as terrorists ambushed a CRPF team. Terrorists have attacked a camp of police and paramilitary forces on the Jammu-Srinagar highway in Udhampur. The exchange of fire is still on, sources said, during which a militant has been killed and two civilians injured.

Initial reports said the militants were travelling in a bus from Srinagar to Jammu. They opened fire at the Central Reserve Police Force camp when the bus was stopped at a checkpoint at Kud — 85 km from Jammu.
