Two Maoists Gunned Down In Sukma Encounter


Raipur: Two Maoists were gunned down by the security forces in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma District on Wednesday. Several rounds of ammunition and arms, along with Naxal literature, was also recovered from the slain naxals.

On Saturday, at least two Naxals were killed in an encounter with police in Katekalyan area of insurgency hit- Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh.

Maoists operate in at least 20 states but are most active in the forested areas of Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand and Maharashtra.
