Jeep overturns killing two, injuring six

Berhampore: Two persons were killed and Six injured when a jeep in which they were travelling lost control and overturned. The incident occurred at Gouribag area under Murshidabad Police Station. Two people named Abdul Sattar (40) and Hazrat Sheikh (55) has been killed on the spot.

The jeep was travelling from Harirampur Ghat area to Motijhil area of Lalbagh when the vehicle overturned. It has been alleged that the helper of the driver was at the wheels when the incident occurred.

The condition of two among the six injured is stated to be critical. They have been admitted to Murshidabad Medical college. Police have recovered the bodies and have them for post mortem.
