Two killed in Delhi shooting

New Delhi: Two people were killed in a shootout at Rajender Nagar in Central Delhi on Thursday morning. One of the victim identified as Ramcharan was a witness in of the cases in Tis Hazari court.

According to police, the incident took place around 9:30 a.m. at Shankar Road in Rajender Nagar when the victims had come to have their morning tea.

“Victims identified as Ram Charan and Lakhan are both labourers. They used to come for their morning tea at Shankar Road every day. On Thursday morning when they came, three people on a bike opened fire at them,” a police officer said. They were rushed to the nearby hospital where they were declared dead upon arrival, he added.

Police is suspecting the involvement of someone involved in the court case behind the incident.
