Two Injured In Ceiling Collapse At Culcutta National Medical College


Kolkata: Two were seriously injured after the ceiling of a unit at National Medical College collapsed on Tuesday. The patients and doctors suffered minor injuries.

A portion of roof of a dilapidated building suddenly caved in resulting in injury to two persons. The building was declared unsafe. The building had developed cracks in several places, said sources.

According to sources, Today at around 14.35 hrs, some portion of false ceiling of Gynecology Ward at 1st floor of CNMC Hospital somehow collapsed. As a result one Doctor Ayan Mondal and one female patient, namely Rinu Biwi received minor injury. Both are safe. Situation remains peaceful.
