Two Arrested With Fake Currency in Murshidabad

Murshidabad: Police on Friday arrested two people with fake currency worth in lakhs from Murshidabd district’s Samserganj area. Following a tip off cops nabbed Durul Sheikh and Mahbul Sheikh from Dhulian Ferry Wharf with fake currency worth of four lakh rupees.

The arrested are residents of Jangipur’s Suti area. Police said that the notes are to be smuggled to Jharkhand. The arrested will be produced at the Jangipur court. An investigation has been launched to unearth the fake currency racket in the area.
