Twitter Fumes Over Kejriwal’s Endorsement On Uri Attack

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stirred up a controversy by praising an article published in a national daily which showed Pakistan in good light in the wake of the Uri attacks. The article claimed that it was not Pakistan, rather India which was getting isolated internationally.

Kejriwal went on to tweet on Tuesday:

“Excellent article. On Uri, rather than Pak, India seems to be getting isolated internationally,”

All hell broke loose on Twitter when several users slammed Kejriwal for the insensitive take of endorsing the article. Reactions poured in. Below are some of them

Mehr Tarar, a Pakistan based journalist tweeted:

“That whatever moment when Delhi, yes, Delhi CM, tweets an Indian article about India’s isolation while India is trying to isolate Pakistan “

Minhaz Merchant, a famous biographer and journalist tweeted:

“The only thing worse than this article is Kejriwal’s endorsement of it. Utterly disgraceful”

Some took a comic dig into it. Char Log tweeted:

“I guess @ArvindKejriwal has mistakenly posted this on Twitter instead of his WhatsApp group of left libs.”

One even advised Kejriwal to return to his medical vacation. Gitika tweeted:

“Congratulations @ArvindKejriwal for one more 10-day-chutti! Effect of previous medical treatment is over, so you need to go for another.”
