Twin Explosions Hit Pak’s Parachinar, 15 Dead


Islamabad: Twins blasts were reported in Pakistan’s Parachinar in Kurram Agency on Friday leaving 15 dead and 50 injured, reports Pak media.

The area is densely populated one.

An emergency has been imposed in the hospitals in the area, and the injured are being taken to the District General Hospital, Parachinar.

The twin blasts were reported to have occurred in Tori Market near Tal Adda, where a bus terminal is also located. The second explosion took place as rescuers and bystanders rushed to aid those who had been hurt in the first explosion.

The explosion targeted people shopping in the area and those heading out of the city ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, local political administration officials said

Security forces have cordoned off the affected site and are conducting a search operation.
