Howrah: Two incidents of accident at Kona expressway, differed by two-hours’ time,
has disrupted transport on Saturday.
A 12-wheel trailer skided off to a canal in the wee hours on Saturday. Hours later another trailer remain stranded at the highway after it was malfunctioning.
As a result, transport was disrupted since morning. The police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
According to the police, the 12-wheeled trailer was descending from the Howrah’s
Satragachi bridge. Being heavily loaded, the trailer lost its control and skidded off to the nearby canal. The locals gathered at the spot after receiving the news. The Howrah traffic police officials rushed to the spot. But the vehicle has not been brought up yet.
The police informed that the front tyre had burst which led it to lost control. A big crane will be used to bring up the trailer. In that case, added transport disruption is about to come up.
On the other hand, a trailer stopped working.
