Truckers Call 36-Hour Strike From Monday

Kolkata: All India Motor Transport Congress has called a nationwide strike for 36 hours starting from 8am on October 9 against rise in diesel prices and anomalies in goods and services tax regime.

According to vice-president of Calcutta Goods Transport Association, Satosh Saraf, the token strike from Monday is likely to be followed by an indefinite strike if the Centre does not pay heed to their demands.
