Jaipur: Eleven members of a family, including four women and five children, were killed when the jeep they were travelling in collided with a truck in Rajasthan’s Rajsamand district.
Kelva police station in-charge Karan Singh told HT that the mishap occurred at around 12.45am on Friday. The victims were from Kediya village in Kumbhalgarh town and were returning from Bhilwara after attending an engagement ceremony.
Singh said prima facie it was the truck driver’s fault that resulted in the accident. The bodies have been handed over to the victims’ relatives. The driver of the truck managed to fled from the spot and efforts are made to nab him, he added.
