Dhaka: Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has established relations with Bangladesh on the way shown by the predecessor Manik Sarkar. On Friday, he took oath as the new Chief Minister of the new BJP-IPF coalition government in Agartala. After that, he called in Dhaka to talk to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Biplabbabu sought help from Bangabandhu’s daughter for Tripura.
Receiving the call of Biplab Sheikh Hasina said, “Bangladesh’s mutual cooperation will continue for the development of Tripura”. At the same time, Sheikh Hasina congratulated Tripura government and people. The Bangladesh News Agency (BSS) says this. Meanwhile, Sheikh Hasina’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim said, “The newly elected Chief Minister of Tripura telephoned the Prime Minister before taking oath on Friday morning. In the phone call, Biplab Deb asked the government of Bangladesh for the development of a north-eastern state of India, Tripura.
In the recent assembly elections, the 25-year-old Left rule in Tripura has fallen down. Biplab Deb has become the new Chief Minister instead of Manik Sarkar. But in the last left rule, the government of Bangladesh and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s diplomatic relations are well known with Manikbabu. Tripura’s role in the War of Liberation and the position of Manik Sarkar have always been very popular in Bangladesh. The Indian state is surrounded on three side.
