Trio Gets Death For 2012 Triple Murder

Barasat: Three persons including a most-wanted accused in at least 24 cases – including 16 murders – were sentenced to death by a Barasat court on Monday for murdering three members of family four years ago.

Binay Biswas, a 42-year-old smalltime trader and his parents Amrito (72) and Tapasi (64) were shot and hacked to death at their residence at Kemia-Khamarpara near Madhyamgram by a gang of five on April 10, 2012.Binay had tipped off the police about the whereabouts of then “absconding criminal” Prabhas Dhali.

Binay’s wife Shiuli, who was also attacked, survived and their two teenage sons Biswajit and Abhijit managed to flee from the spot.
