Trilochon Mahato Case: HC Orders To Finish Probe Within 8 Weeks

Kolkata: Calcutta High Court has ordered Central Investigation Department that the investigation on BJP worker Trilochon Mahato murder case has to get completed within eight weeks. The next hearing will take place on September 27 on the bench of Tapobrata Chakraborty where the final report of the probe has to be submitted to the court.

Previously, Hariram Mahato, father of Trilochon Mahato has asked for CBI investigation. On Friday CID has placed a report but it didn’t get opened. Additional advocate general Abhrotosh Majumder informed that security has been provided to Mahato family but Mahato’s lawyer has denied this. Additional advocate general said that if court issues permission, will place more documents and video footages.

Parthasarathi Sengupta and Priyanka Tibrewal, lawyers of Hariram Mahato said, the counter case has poked CID and arrested one in connection to the incident. Stay order for fifteen days issued on this case. Depending on the progress state should place the report. First state has to clarify the progress verbally to the court on September 27.

BJP’s result was significant in Purulia. The murder came out in light right after election result. So BJP blamed Opposition for their brutal aggression.
